Peter Ho endorsing French beauty product

without comments

Taiwanese celebrity Peter Ho was chosen to endorse a French beauty product for men, being named the Asian representative for the brand. Endorsement fees were approximately reaching about NT$1.5 million. It was said that the company has chosen Ho over another famous Taiwanese singer cum actor Wu Chun as they feel that Ho would better portray a sunny and healthier feel.

News tabloids have revealed that Peter Ho and Wu Chun have been ‘competing’ for endorsements lately, with a couple of brands choosing between the duo. Wu Chun has his share of endorsements, and guess it’s time for Ho’s turn to shine. But I sure have to say that both guys have skin textures that even girls are willing to die for!

Ako Kawada in apparent suicide

with 5 comments

Ako KawadaFamous TV presenter Ako Kawada was found dead in her car this morning and police believe that this could well be a suicide case. By the time the police has arrived, the TV presenter was slumped in the front seat of the car, with 2 charcoal briquettes in the back seat.

A note was left to Kawada’s parents on the front seat, seemingly a suicide note. A while ago, Kawada had blogged about being tired and worn about, mentioning the desire for a break.

However, suicide seems to be too long a break for Ako Kawada to take. It sure makes someone sigh when while there are people in China struggling for survival from the earthquake, there are people on the other side of the world choosing to end their lives prematurely.

Nonetheless, rest in peace.

Yamapi’s new dorama: Code Blue

without comments

havent been dropping by here lately cos of a madly packed schedule, my bad. ):

but anyway its been confirmed that NEWS member Yamashita Tomohisa will be acting in a Fuji TV dorama titled “Code Blue” (full title: Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei) this coming July! will yamapi look doubly cool as a young doctor-in-training, will be kinda interesting to find out i believe. (: good that Yamapi is slowly moving out of roles as high school students or anything similar and adopting occupational roles, that will definitely help honing his acting skills as well!

By the way, some other members of the cast include Yui Aragaki and Erika Toda.

This dorama will be broadcasted in Japan on Thursday 2200hrs in the near future.

argh, too bad i havent been able to get hold of any drama trailer. heh.

KAT-TUN, dont u ever stop

without comments

just checked out the PV of KAT-TUN’s new single “Dont U Ever Stop”, and well they are KAT-TUN anyway, so yeah they are at the top of Oricon charts again (: yay.

I kinda like the intro, and the BANG feel when the song goes “STOP!” and the glass ball is smashed. Akanishi’s intro sounds good too. okay never mind, he’s just plain hot. =D (but but but i really wish his hair looked nicer…) Kamenashi looks cool too, with his hat (:

This song is definitely going into my iPod. (: not one to the usual ballad collections, but this one adds punch. whoosh. go go go KAT-TUN, dont you guys ever stop!

Chiling Lin in love?

without comments

Chiling Lin\'s toiletbowl ad Toiletbowl ad famous? Definitely possible when famous Taiwanese model Chiling Lin is endorsing it. (:

Check out the coolest recipe to a hot ad – hot model with sexy legs x1, big cotton shirt x1 (resembling boyfriend shirt), tagline “I’m in love with him.“ (translated), plus a toiletbowl. haha.

Not to mention that the ad belongs to the company of the toiletbowl tycoon, who is Lin’s alleged boyfriend. So does the tagline subtlely declare Lin’s love for her beloved? I won’t be surprised if wedding bells were to ring soon, anyway celebrities always spring tons of surprises, esp their love lives.

But since Lin would be involved in the production of Chinese Movie “Red Cliff”, whether there’s time to spring us a pleasant surprise, we shall see.

Crows Zero sequel in 2009

without comments

crows zero poster “Crows Zero” is going to get a sequel, news confirmed yesterday, and the new sequel is expected to be out in 2009! This manga-to-film adaptation was a hit when it came out last year, and its sequel is expected to create another commotion close to release.

Oguri Shun is confirmed to continue the role of protagonist Genji Takaya and training has already started for him (busy man!), and director Takashi Miike calls the shots once again this time round. Other members of the cast are not yet mentioned, though it’s clear that Kyosuke Yabe is also resuming his role.

“Crows Zero”’s sequel is set to be 8 months after the first movie and protagonist Genji is close to graduation at Suzuran High School. However, there’s still one last matter to be settled with the rival school…

Stay tuned to Crows Zero 2..

Morita Power (:

with one comment

Was just reminded that the Taiwanese version of Honey and Clover is going to premiere in Taiwan on 25th May. Hachikuro is one of my favourite anime series, season 1 and season 2 got me hooked totally, and subsequently got me to watch the movie and then the Japanese drama rendition of it. Personal favourite is still the anime, and yeah favourite character is still morita shinobu san! <33

Just got the urge to introduce all the Morita(s)  (: HAHA.

anime morita

from the anime, the chibi version rocks totally in season 2..

jpmovie_morita

yusuke iseya as morita in H&C movie..no idea why but he looks like matsumoto jun in here…

jpdrama_morita

hiroki narimiya as morita for the recent dorama (:

eddie peng as morita, hahahah i think he’s the cutest morita. wacky =p

So perhaps, the TW version has captured my heart via eddie peng haha, but whether it will rise in my cruel ranking of Hachikuro, and whether it can be compared to the anime seasons, we’ll check it out when the show airs in Taiwan.

Change premieres tmr @ Japan

without comments

Fuji’s TV new dorama featuring popular actor and heartthrobTakuya Kimura is premiering in Japan tmr! It’s scheduled for the Monday slot at 9pm, and now i sure wish i am in the land of nippon right now, so I can catch Kimura with his cool cauliflower hairstyle in the dorama.

Change

Not your usual dashing style, Kimura acts as an elementary school teacher, who became the PM of Japan due to various circumstances. Kimura with a bunch of kids? Or him leading a nation? Pretty unthinkable i guess, but with his acting skills, we are bound for a good show. Not to mention that the script is handled by Yasushi Fukuda who had written past great dramas like “HERO” and “Galileo”.

Change is the name. and Kimura probably will present a changed self in front of the TV set this time round for his fans. (: I’m looking forward to it, are you?

Edison Chen in TW Golden Melody Awards?

without comments

Xinhuanet.com’s report about Edison Chen’s running for the 19th Taiwan Golden Melody Awards had resulted in many web users disapproving in polls. The young HK star who was caught in a nude-photo frenzy a while back had already seemingly left the entertainment scene, so why this? Apparently, according the music distribution company, Chen had signed up for the running before the scandal broke out, based on his new album last year.

Check out the lyrics, and discover more controversy within! The lyrics of this album suggest sexual innuendos, probably the trigger in rousing more disapproval from the Net.

Such album a disgrace to be run for the Taiwanese prestigious music award? But i would say taking part and getting chosen are two different issues anyway, why kick a fuss just because Edison is taking part? Have some faith in the selection panel, take a chill pill. For now, only time will give the answer when the nomination list is released 22th this month.
