teppei koike’s older lover!
Boyish looking Teppei Koike, will be starring in a new TBS drama titled “Ohitorisama” next season, alongside with female lead Alisa Mizuki.
This drama will depict an atypical romantic relationship between the younger Koike and the older Mizuki. Mizuki plays a teacher at a prestigious girls school, who excels in the workplace, but not with the household chores. She then falls in love with her colleague (Koike) and began living together.
Interesting mix of events will happen, highlighting the differences between these two people.
Japanese viewers will be able to catch this drama starting this October!
(Teppei, kakoi…) ^^
horikita maki’s new dorama
Japanese rising star Horikita Maki will take on a very different role from her usuals for her next upcoming dorama (: This Fuji TV series is yet untitled but it is mentioned in Tokyograph that she will be acting as a homeless person.
As quoted by Tokyograph, “In the drama, Horikita’s character is burdened with 100 million yen worth of debt after her gambling father disappears. Chased out of her home by collectors, she is forced to sleep in places like internet cafes. However, she meets the president of a major company who offers to pay off the debt if she marries him, and she soon finds herself moving in with a rather eccentric family.”
This show will start its run in Japan in April this year.
Is it gonna be the typical poor-girl-meets-rich-guy type of show? But since the male lead is said to come from a rich and eccentric family, perhaps things might be a tad more interesting.
Absolute Boyfriend back again (:
Fuji TV’s live-action “Zettai Kareshi” or otherwise known as Absolute Boyfriend series is coming back with a special (: The original series which was based on the manga by Yuu Watase was aired last year from April to June, and was widely received.
This special episode is titled “Zettai Kareshi – Kanzen Muketsu no Koibito Robot” is set to continue after the series. Mokomichi Hayami will continue his role as Naito (Night) the lover robot, along with co-stars Saki Aibu and Hiro Mizushima.
This special is expected to be broadcasted this spring, so stay tuned for some robotic love! can’t wait.
i hope Naito and Riko get together in the end…
Horikita Maki’s Innocent Love

Horikita Maki has landed herself another lead drama role, starring in a romance drama tentatively titled “Innocent Love”. This drama is a Fuji TV production and is scheduled to air during the Monday night time slot this fall, premiering in October.
This drama is based on original work written by Taeko Asano, who also wrote “Last Friends” which turned out to be a hit this spring. Innocent Love, another hit? Maybe.(:
The story centers around the tragic heroine Kanon Akiyama (Horikita). As a child, she lost both her parents to a murderer, and her older brother was arrested as the prime suspect. Shunned by her town as the sister of a killer, she heads to Tokyo and picks up a job as a housecleaner. There, she has a fateful encounter with a man, but the road to romance is fraught with difficulty.
Horikita is starring in Fuji TV’s key time slot for the first time for this dorama. Maybe expectations have gone up after her popularity shot up after acting as Ashiya Mizuki in Hana Kimi last year alongside Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma. But I’m sure this rising star will also rise up to the occasion.
Go Maki-chan!
what’s next, Hayami Mokomichi?
(Tokyograph)
News reveal that Japanese actor Hayami Mokomichi will be starring in a drama by NTV this coming fall. Though the show is still untitled yet, it is said that Hayami will challenge the papa role.
Hayami who just acted in the recent popular dorama “Zettai Kareshi”, winning the hearts of many girls with his pure robotic love and ikemen-standard look, this coming drama and character that he’s going to take on is deemed to be rather refreshing?
In this new drama, Hayami plays the role of Kotaro Yamashita, an aspiring young novelist working part-time at a publishing company. He leads the life of a poor bachelor, but along the way he got stuck with 6-year-old An, an impatient but gifted child actress, forcing him to take the role of a fatherly figure. Rosa Kato has been cast as An’s manager in the show.
See our Zettai Kareshi transform into Zettai Otousan? =p
Matsumoto Jun in new show
(Tokyograph)
Reports reveal that Arashi member Matsumoto Jun will be acting in a drama special titled “Myu no Anyo, Papa ni Ageru”.. The drama special will be broadcasted as part of NTV’s charity programme “24 Hour Television.
And guess what, it’s coming out on Matsumoto Jun’s 25th birthday (:
The drama is based on a true story about a young man (played by Matsumoto) who learns he has a rare illness known as CIDP, which affects the nervous system. He begins to lose the functioning of his limbs, but he is determined to fight the illness with the support of his wife and his 2-year-old daughter, Myu-chan. The kind of plot sounds rather similar to tearjerker drama Ichi Rittoru no Namida, but considering the latter’s popularity when it was aired back then, this drama is set to soar! Not to mention, we have some Matsujun magic going on here.
Stay tuned.
Yamapi’s new dorama: Code Blue
havent been dropping by here lately cos of a madly packed schedule, my bad. ):
but anyway its been confirmed that NEWS member Yamashita Tomohisa will be acting in a Fuji TV dorama titled “Code Blue” (full title: Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei) this coming July! will yamapi look doubly cool as a young doctor-in-training, will be kinda interesting to find out i believe. (: good that Yamapi is slowly moving out of roles as high school students or anything similar and adopting occupational roles, that will definitely help honing his acting skills as well!
By the way, some other members of the cast include Yui Aragaki and Erika Toda.
This dorama will be broadcasted in Japan on Thursday 2200hrs in the near future.
argh, too bad i havent been able to get hold of any drama trailer. heh.
Morita Power (:
Was just reminded that the Taiwanese version of Honey and Clover is going to premiere in Taiwan on 25th May. Hachikuro is one of my favourite anime series, season 1 and season 2 got me hooked totally, and subsequently got me to watch the movie and then the Japanese drama rendition of it. Personal favourite is still the anime, and yeah favourite character is still morita shinobu san! <33
Just got the urge to introduce all the Morita(s) (: HAHA.

from the anime, the chibi version rocks totally in season 2..

yusuke iseya as morita in H&C movie..no idea why but he looks like matsumoto jun in here…

hiroki narimiya as morita for the recent dorama (:

eddie peng as morita, hahahah i think he’s the cutest morita. wacky =p
So perhaps, the TW version has captured my heart via eddie peng haha, but whether it will rise in my cruel ranking of Hachikuro, and whether it can be compared to the anime seasons, we’ll check it out when the show airs in Taiwan.
Change premieres tmr @ Japan
Fuji’s TV new dorama featuring popular actor and heartthrobTakuya Kimura is premiering in Japan tmr! It’s scheduled for the Monday slot at 9pm, and now i sure wish i am in the land of nippon right now, so I can catch Kimura with his cool cauliflower hairstyle in the dorama.

Not your usual dashing style, Kimura acts as an elementary school teacher, who became the PM of Japan due to various circumstances. Kimura with a bunch of kids? Or him leading a nation? Pretty unthinkable i guess, but with his acting skills, we are bound for a good show. Not to mention that the script is handled by Yasushi Fukuda who had written past great dramas like “HERO” and “Galileo”.
Change is the name. and Kimura probably will present a changed self in front of the TV set this time round for his fans. (: I’m looking forward to it, are you?
drama alert – Maou!
Catch rising JE boy Ikuta Toma and Arashi leader Satoshi Ohno at the upcoming suspense dorama titled “Maou”!
“Maou” is a remake of the famous Korean suspense drama “The Devil” which was aired last year. Watch Ohno Satoshi as he acts as a two-faced lawyer, one that of a kindhearted soul and the other seeking to plot revenge on the murderer who killed his relative. Ikuta Toma will play the double lead role of the man, who has become a detective due to his dark past, who is pursuing the mysterious series of murders, fighting against the Devil.
Ohno even reportedly ditched his dyed hair for a cool black, preparing himself for the role.
Fridays @ 10pm (japan time) in July 08, I’m sure all Ikuta and Arashi fans, not forgetting the avid dorama lovers will anticipate how this will sweep them off their feet!
