DBSK had appeared with full team attendance at concert “Superlive 2009″ organised by Japan’s Music Station on Christmas night. That was the first time that they had appeared together since a while ago due to alleged contractual issues. However, the topic of their contract was left untouched that night. They appeared to have shown team spirit, with member Hero even mentioning that their concert at Tokyo Dome was an unforgetable experience over the past year. However, it was also observed that the members did not have much interaction with each other.

Other guests that appeared during the 4-hour long concert include Ayumi Hamasaki, Arashi, EXILE, Ai Otsuka, NEWS, Ken Hirai and Ayaka.

Jolin Tsai has a new beau?! According to Sina entertainment news, she was spotted with Godfrey Tsao (who happened to be 4 years younger than her) recently in the wee hour of the morning.

Jolin is said to have failed in a couple of relationships, including the famous JJ relationship between Jay Chou and her. She was also said to have ended a three-year hush hush relationship with Eddie Peng as well. Reports revealed that she probably knew Godfrey Tsao in the nightclubs which she started to frequent lately.

However, the managers of both celebrities have denied this rumour, expressing that they are merely friends.

The new film adaptation of the manga “Ooku” by Fumi Yoshinaga will feature Shibasaki Kou and Ninomiya Kazunari (member of ARASHI)! It will be the first jidaigeki (時代劇) that both artistes will be acting in.

This manga/ film has its setting in the old Edo period of Japan, and the concept of role reversal is presented in the plot. The shogun is a female (whom Shibasaki will act as) , and the inner chambers are filled with males instead (Ninomiya will act as a man who enters the ooku or inner chamber).

Only the first 5 volumes of the manga will be covered in this movie of $1-billion yen budget. There are talks that this will lead to a series of films featuring this manga.

“Ooku” is scheduled to open in October next year.

Right at the top of the rankings is Japanese veteran Fukuyama Masaharu! Looks like his charisma has not failed him once again (: Ranked after him is Mizushima Hiro who acted in hot-selling drama Tokyo Dogs. His co-star Oguri Shun is 6th in the poll, 3 placings above his previous ranking. Arashi’s Sakurai Sho is third. (:

News have been released that Japanese singer Ai Otsuka will be doing the Winter Olympics’ theme song for Fuji TV, following news that L’Arc En Ciel will be doing so for NHK’s coverage of this event.

Ai Otsuka’s song is titled “Lucky Star” and holds a bright and upbeat tune. This song, which took two and a half months to complete, will be released as her single in 2010 Spring.

it got me really happy when i was reading that, because it’s the coming together of two great stars, passionate about acting. so yeah! good actors, good shows, with good looks. woots. how cool is that.

For the uninformed, Namie Amuro has just released her newest album on 16 December (which is today) titled “Past < Future”!

And for the Gundam fans, just in case you are thinking that this CD has nothing to do with your anime interest, think again. Because in this album, there is an animated music video for the song “Defend Love” and Namie Amuro is paired up with the iconic character of Amuro Ray from “Mobile Suit Gundam”.

According to reports, Ayumi had spent approximately a whopping 10 million yen on a piece of burial land in Tokyo central. In addition to this, she spent another 8 million yen to erect a burial stone using high-quality materials. The burial stone is said to have “Hamasaki Family” carved in 3 different languages – Japanese, English and Chinese.

Indeed, this is what I deem as burial fit for the royalty. In this case, I mean the royalty of the Japanese music scene.
