Patty Hou, a love child?

with one comment

(TOM.com)

Taiwanese reports have revealed that famous celebrity Patty Hou is actually a love child, her mummy being rumoured to be a third party. Her mum was a well known Min Nan singer back in the 1970s. Having fallen in love with another singer in the industry who happened to be already married, the latter was said to be the ‘mistress’, giving birth to Patty Hou in 1977. When Patty Hou was 5, her mum broke up with her alleged father and became the mistress of a tycoon, and eventually became the wife.

What a complicated family background, we really gotta salute the paparazzi’s hard work of sourcing this out.

Matsumoto Jun in new show

with 5 comments

(Tokyograph)

Reports reveal that Arashi member Matsumoto Jun will be acting in a drama special titled “Myu no Anyo, Papa ni Ageru”.. The drama special will be broadcasted as part of NTV’s charity programme “24 Hour Television.

And guess what, it’s coming out on Matsumoto Jun’s 25th birthday (:

The drama is based on a true story about a young man (played by Matsumoto) who learns he has a rare illness known as CIDP, which affects the nervous system. He begins to lose the functioning of his limbs, but he is determined to fight the illness with the support of his wife and his 2-year-old daughter, Myu-chan. The kind of plot sounds rather similar to tearjerker drama Ichi Rittoru no Namida, but considering the latter’s popularity when it was aired back then, this drama is set to soar! Not to mention, we have some Matsujun magic going on here.

Stay tuned.

Kenji Furuya and Megumi to wed

with 3 comments

Kenji Furuya from Dragon Ash and idol actress Megumi are going to get married in the next few days seemingly. There are news reporting that the actress is also three month pregnant already.

After dating for the past 3 years and co-habiting subsequently, the marriage news wont come as a surprise, especially since Megumi had previously been seen in public with what was suspected the engagement ring. Marriage probably came into the picture following Megumi’s pregnancy.

Megumi is said to give birth in late Jan 09 and will take maternity leave by end of this year, though not quitting her entertainment career to be a full-time mummy.

Ayaka’s Sing To The Sky (Previews Only)

leave a comment »

Japanese singer Ayaka released her 2nd album in end June, and within a week, it moved up to the top position on the Oricon charts. (: Kinda liked the style of her new album, her voice still amazes me, and I definitely going to get hold on this album somehow.

Was surfing youtube till I came across this video consisting short previews of the various songs on the album. If you havent heard her before, try it and get impressed!

The song Mikazuki got me hooked back then, and now Ayaka magic (:

On a side note, Ayaka and Kobukuro are coming together for another collaboration after “WINDING ROAD”.. The song “Anata to”¬† is said to be released this coming fall. The decision for a CD release was made after great fan support after the song was performed live last year during a festival.

Kudo Shizuka, poison?

with 2 comments

(TOM.COM)Kudo Shizuka

There has been rumours lately that wife of star Takuya Kimura, Kudo Shizuka, has been deemed as the ‘poison’ of the entertainment industry, citing a drop in ratings in her shows and endorsements.

It was said that someone from the advertising industry had talked about this female artiste affecting ratings, and even sales of the advertised products, being one of their most unwelcome artistes. Hints were dropped that this lady had a strong backing, that she used to be a pop idol and is already married and has become a mum.

But guess it’s indeed true that recently, Kudo did not get to renew her contract for advertisements and viewership ratings of shows with a Kudo presence has dropped. So, I suppose it makes a little harder to argue the case that the artiste mentioned above is someone else.

So, what do you think? Kudo Shizuka, or not?
